Six years after we built the previous website, Ethical Screening came to us with a request to update and refresh the website and client application. We proposed splitting the project into two distinct elements with the first phase being the new website, the second phase being a new stand-alone client application.
An application where users can securely log in and review information and guidance to enable them to manage their investment according to their principles and ethical standing.
Ethical Screening had already commissioned an external graphic design agency to update their brand identity. We worked closely with this company to turn the supplied application concepts into a graphically pleasing user interface.
The application has been completely re-built from the ground up using the latest versions of .NET Core and Angular technologies, whilst keeping the database running on the latest version of SQL – all Microsoft and Google technologies. This will prolong the life of the codebase and allow for easier addition of new features that Ethical Screening wish to add in the future.
Splitting the client application from the website allows for independent maintenance and future “reskinning” of either the website or application without one impacting the other.
