The term AI seems to have broadened a lot in recent years, or at least perceptions of it have. Whilst systems like ChatGPT don’t present the Self-Aware, consciousness people expect from sci-fi they certainly provide ways to perform tasks that typically require some level of human intelligence and understanding. Through its utilisation of deep learning techniques and vast amounts of data it’s been trained on it can respond to text prompts in a seemingly accurate (and improving?) way.

I wanted to write an article on how you can use ChatGPT to help produce, check and improve content across your website, and what better way to do this than have ChatGPT do the work for me. Below is the prompt I fed in to ChatGPT, I’ve then gone through the response and made corrections/adjustments against the article to illustrate just how powerful it can be, whilst also highlighting the risks of using it:

It’s also very hard to claim any of this content as our own, which could lead to copyright issues further down the line, even if the content produced is unique and well presented.

ChatGPT and other tools can be very useful. This article above actually covers the main points I would have done if I’d completely written it myself, although the ChatGPT feels a bit “fluffy”. It needed fact checking, there’s a few sentences that don’t really make sense and the overall post is lacking somewhat. That said it was a great first draft and could have saved a lot of time even after correcting and expanding.

Ultimately content you put on your website should be unique, well written and most importantly accurate. A tool like ChatGPT can help a lot but you should never blindly trust what it outputs – always ensure you check, correct and improve anything it produces.
